A great day escaping to the island Nusa Penida for snorkelling and sight seeing. Our guide on the snorkelling tour was great and spent lots of time interacting with guests and taking photos for us to keep. We really appreciated this as it meant we could be left to simply enjoy our time. Both drivers were excellent and made us feel safe and welcome. Gede was our driver in Bali and his communication was excellent. During our ride, he shared lots of information about local customs and life, and gave us some recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to enjoy - thank you Gede!! Cobek was our driver on Nusa Penida for the island tour itself and we appreciate how he kept us on schedule without making us feel rushed. Nusa roads were very busy and travel can take some time, but we managed to see everything and still make it back with plenty of time to spare for check in. Huge thanks for taking care of us!! We would 100% recommend this tour as it was great value for money.

An amazing day 😊. First of all, it got off to a great start thanks to our driver Putu, who was right on time for both the trip there and back. And thanks to Kadek for showing us around Nusa Penida today 😉

I really enjoyed this tour. It went to extremely beautiful areas of the island! My favorite spot for pictures was Broken Beach. And the scuba diving was an exciting way to start the day. My guides and drivers, Kadek on Nusa Pineda and Gede in Bali, were both so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend!

#The tour makes exploring Nusa Penida so much easier and fun - takes away all the stress of planning. We started off with snorkelling which was a beautiful experience. We stopped at 4 stops across Nusa Penida and our guide/photographer took care of everything, from instructions to pictures while making sure everyone was safe. Our car driver, Wayan took us around for the tour of the western side of the Island which included the beaches. He handled the whole tour with patience, made sure we were comfortable, clicked our pictures and showed us around. We really appreciate people going out of their way to make the trip easier for us. Really recommend this tour for the ease of it and the local people of Nusa Penida who are working on it.

Nusa Penida tours | A slice of heaven just beyond Bali

Looking for a quick escape from Bali? Nusa Penida delivers. With rugged cliffs, quiet blue-water beaches, and thriving marine life, it’s a paradise that still feels raw and remote compared to the mainland. With a guided day trip, you’ll hit headline viewpoints and beaches without the transit guesswork.

  • Distance from Bali: ~20–25 km across the Badung Strait
  • Typical travel time: 35–50 minutes by fast boat from Sanur
  • On-site visit duration: 6–8 hours for a complete West/East or snorkelling itinerary
  • Cost range: $55–$120+ per person, inclusions vary
  • Best season/time: Apr–Oct for calm seas; mornings for fewer crowds and better visibility
  • Meeting/drop-off point: Sanur Harbour (Bali) & Banjar Nyuh Harbour (Penida)Sites covered: Kelingking, Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Crystal Bay, Diamond/Atuh.

Depart from Nusa Lembongan or Bali

Set off from Sanur Harbour in Bali or from Nusa Lembongan, making it simple to explore Penida no matter where you're staying. Fast boats get you across in 45–60 minutes, with smooth check-ins and guided boarding.

Visit all of Penida’s must-see locations

Nusa Penida is famous for its dramatic, almost surreal landscapes, and the tours make sure you reach the island’s most photogenic landmarks with zero hassle. Stand atop iconic viewpoints like Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, and the pools of Angel’s Billabong. On the eastern side, places like the Thousand Island viewpoint and its cliffside treehouse offer sweeping panoramas that feel straight out of a dream.

Snorkeling with Mantas

Nusa Penida’s snorkeling experiences are a major draw, and tours offer a range of packages, from quick three-spot snorkel sessions to full-day island tours with snorkeling packages. Expect full gear provided, CPR-trained guides in the water, and underwater photography included on select tours. With the chance to see manta rays, sea turtles, and seasonal mola-mola, even beginners can join in easily. The reefs are part of a protected marine area and burst with colourful coral and hundreds of fish species, making each snorkel stop feel like diving into a living aquarium.

All logistics taken care of

Nusa Penida is stunning, but its rugged roads and limited transport can make visiting on your own feel overwhelming. Combined tours take away all the hassle by including everything upfront: round-trip fast-boat tickets, hotel transfers, air-conditioned cars for your island tour, lunch, and a guide who knows the best routes, timings, and viewpoints. They lead you straight to the angles worth the walk and often help with photos too, so you can capture those effortless, “wow” shots that make Penida unforgettable.

Flexible tour options

There are several Nusa Penida tour options, so you can choose what suits your day. Fast boat transfers are ideal if you simply want a smooth trip to the island. Snorkelling tours take you to reef spots and manta ray habitats. You can explore West Penida, East Penida, or both, with the option to add snorkelling. There are also tours from Nusa Lembongan that combine fast boat rides, snorkelling, and island sightseeing. Whether you want marine life, cliff views, or a mix of both, you can pick a tour that matches your style.

1. Transfers vs. full tours

  • If you only need a convenient way to reach Nusa Penida, fast boat transfers are the simplest and most budget-friendly option. They connect Sanur Harbour (Bali) to Nusa Penida in 45–60 minutes, with AC seating and multiple departure times. This option is best for travellers who want to explore the island independently or already have plans in place.
  • If you prefer everything to be organised for you, our full-day tours bundle includes transfers, a guide, snorkelling options, and lunch, making the experience smooth and worry-free.

2. Snorkelling-only vs. combined island tours

  • Snorkelling tours take you to three vibrant reef sites and manta ray habitats, with full gear, CPR-trained guides, and underwater photos included in some packages.
  • If you want both ocean time and scenic viewpoints, opt for a combined tour. These usually start with snorkelling in the morning and continue with iconic land stops like Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Broken Beach.

3. West Penida, East Penida, or both

  • West Penida is the classic choice, featuring the famous T-Rex cliff at Kelingking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, and Broken Beach.
  • East Penida is quieter and offers dramatic cliffside views at Diamond Beach, Atuh Beach, and the Thousand Island Viewpoint.
  • If you want to see it all, choose a full East and West circuit, which lets you cover both sides in one day with a private car and guide.
  • Tip: West Penida is ideal for first-timers. East + West is perfect for photography lovers and travellers who don’t mind a longer day.

4. Starting from Bali or Nusa Lembongan

  • You can start your tour from either Bali or Nusa Lembongan.
  • From Bali, you’ll take a fast boat to Nusa Penida before beginning your full-day tour or snorkelling itinerary.
  • From Lembongan, tours combine fast boat travel, snorkelling, and island stops across both Lembongan and Penida, making this option ideal for travellers already staying on the Nusa islands.

5. Inclusions to expect

  • Most full-day tours include hotel transfers, fast boat tickets, a private car on the island, an English-speaking guide, lunch, drinking water, towels, and snorkelling gear (if selected).
  • Snorkelling-focused tours typically add safety support, shared underwater cameras, and access to showers and changing rooms.
  • Tip: Always check whether your package includes snorkelling, land sightseeing, or both to avoid surprises.
